Trying SellyPOS with a few products
FreeWhat SellyPOS does
Your products are what your shop sells, so this is where they are set up. You add each one with its price and barcode, bring a list in from Excel, change many at once, and set discount promotions, phones and warranty too.
This area is for the owner, or the person who looks after the shop's goods. A product is set up once and then it is ready for the counter. Most shops start here, before the first sale is made.
Start with the things you set once, such as your kind of shop, your categories and your units. Then add products one at a time, or bring a whole list in from a spreadsheet. Each product keeps its own price, stock and history.
Later, change many products at once with bulk edit, or set up a discount promotion for chosen products. Phones keep their own codes and condition, each sale keeps its own copy of the warranty, and a pharmacy can record medicine details on each product.
Nothing matches “”.
Try a shorter word, or fewer words. You can also browse the sections below.
Each step is one decision about a product, in the order you meet it on the product form. Most of them are filled in for you once your kind of shop is chosen.
A shirt can come in many sizes and colours, and each size or colour is its own item. Set them up once. A product file can carry them, and picking the main product adds a line for each one.
Use the list to find a product, see its picture or colour, and open the one you want. The search box works the same way the counter does, and the list shows which products need a look.
Each barcode belongs to one product, and goods without one can be given a shop barcode. When you need labels, print them from a ready format.
These lists sit behind your products. Set them up as the shop grows, and change the names when you need to.
Some customers should pay a different price, and some products should be cheaper for a set time. Set those here, and the counter applies them for you.
A printed price list is for your customers. It leaves out your cost and stock, and you choose which products it shows.
If your products are already in a spreadsheet, you do not need to type each one again. Choose what comes in, match the columns, and check every row before anything is saved.
Bulk edit is the page for changing many products together. Pick the products, change their prices, names or stock on one sheet, and review every change before you save.
A phone or laptop is kept as its own device, with its own codes and condition. Warranty is set on the product, and each sale keeps its own copy of it.
When every product has its name, price and barcode, the counter has less to get wrong. Start with one shelf: add its products, look at the list, and then try a sale at your own counter. Later, bulk edit can change many prices at once, and a discount promotion can run on the days you choose.
