Trying SellyPOS with a few products
FreeShort answers to what shopkeepers ask us most. For step-by-step guides, see the help centre.
Yes. Selling never needs a connection: every sale is saved on the computer's own disk before the receipt prints, so a dropped connection, a power cut or a crash does not lose it. You need internet once, to sign in with Google and set up your shop, and from time to time to check your licence and updates.
No, and that is deliberate. A finished sale stays exactly as it was. To correct it, make a return or an exchange against it: SellyPOS links the two, so your records show what happened and when.
Yes, in Basic and Professional. Each customer has a running balance: credit sales add to it, payments they bring in reduce it, and you can see who owes what at any time.
No. Without a printer, SellyPOS saves each receipt as a PDF, and products can be found by typing their name or code. When you add hardware, SellyPOS works with 58 mm and 80 mm thermal receipt printers that use ESC/POS, over USB, Bluetooth or your network, and with barcode scanners that type like a keyboard. Hardware it works with.
Yes, for ever: no trial, no licence and no lock. Lite holds up to 20 products, shows the last 7 days of sales history and returns, and has no backup, restore, import or export. When you need more, install Basic or Professional over the same data.
Yes. Pay the difference to Selly Systems, receive the higher licence, and install the higher edition over the same computer. Your data stays where it is: every edition uses the same records. A paid licence never moves down an edition.
A licence is a one-time purchase, and it lasts for life. Basic is licensed to one computer. Professional needs one licence for your whole shop: it sits on your main computer, and every other counter on the shop's network connects to it and needs no licence of its own. If you replace a computer, Selly Systems moves the licence for you.
Pakistani rupees in Pakistan and US dollars everywhere else. The pricing page shows the current prices and any offer that is running.
Basic and Professional each start with a 7-day free trial. A shop gets one trial, whichever edition it runs. When the trial ends, SellyPOS keeps selling, and the other screens wait until you activate a licence.
The installer is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen cannot name the publisher. If you downloaded it from sellypos.com, choose More info, then Run anyway. Step-by-step help.
Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. At least a dual-core processor (such as an Intel Core i3), 4 GB of memory, 500 MB of free disk space and a 1366 × 768 screen; a quad-core processor, 8 GB of memory and an SSD are recommended. SellyPOS is a native Windows program, so it runs on the computer itself, not in a browser. Versions for macOS and Linux are planned. Full system requirements.
Basic and Professional include backup and restore. Lite does not, and says so: on Lite, a failed hard disk loses your records, so move up to Basic before your data matters to you.
On your computer. Your sales, products, customers and stock never leave it. Selly Systems keeps only a small account record (who you are and which shop you registered) so we can help you recover access. See the privacy policy.
Not yet. FBR digital invoicing is planned as a monthly add-on for Basic and Professional. It is designed so that a sale never waits for FBR: invoices queue and are sent when the connection allows.
Yes, in Professional. Your counters connect over the shop's own network, with one computer as the main PC, so they keep working together without internet. Lite and Basic are for a single counter.
A native Windows app with a modern interface, made to sell from the keyboard. It keeps selling with no internet.
