Trying SellyPOS with a few products
FreeWhat SellyPOS does
SellyPOS lets you finish a sale when the internet drops, and when the power goes it checks the last sale as soon as it starts again. Backups, restores and the keyboard are on this page too.
Every shop has a bad moment: the lights go out mid-sale, the internet drops at the busiest hour, or the computer is switched off by mistake. This page sets out what SellyPOS does at each of those moments, and what you see on the screen when you come back to it.
The sections run in the order a shop meets them: the counter first, then power cuts, backups, restores, the screen, the keyboard and the small things. Only a person with permission can start a restore.
Nothing matches “”.
Try a shorter word, or fewer words. You can also browse the sections below.
A dead connection does not stop the queue, and a wrong clock does not either. When the disk is full, the sale does not go through, and SellyPOS tells you why.
When the power goes off in the middle of a sale, you need to know whether that sale went through. SellyPOS checks the last sale when it starts again, and shows you the answer before you ring up anything new.
Set these up in this order the first time: choose a folder on a different drive, then back up and let SellyPOS check the copy. The history then keeps a record of each backup, so you can see what was made and when.
A restore replaces the shop's data, so SellyPOS asks more of you before it starts. You see what would be lost first, and your current data is backed up before anything is replaced.
These are the signs you will see while you work. Each one says what it shows, so you know when to act.
The keyboard can take a sale from the first item to the last, and F1 opens a guide on every screen. An administrator can change or switch off the shortcuts for the whole shop.
These work in the background. You notice them when you come back to a page, open a calendar, scroll a long list, or turn on high contrast in your computer's settings.
Set the backup folder on another drive first, then check the row on the Setup checklist. Once the backup history has its first entries, look at one, so you know what a record looks like before you need it.
