Keep selling when the internet, or the power, goes
Every sale is saved on the computer before anything else happens. Selling never waits for a connection.
Many shops live with power cuts and patchy internet. SellyPOS is built for that, not in spite of it.
Offline is normal
Nothing a cashier does at the counter needs the internet. Search, scan, take payment, print: all of it works with the cable pulled out. The connection is needed only to set the shop up, and now and then for licence checks and updates, never in the middle of a sale.
Saved before it is acknowledged
When a cashier finishes a sale, SellyPOS writes it to the computer’s own disk before the receipt prints and before the screen says it is done. If the power goes a moment later, the sale is already there when the computer comes back.
Your data stays on your computer
Sales, products, customers and stock are kept on the counter computer, not on a server somewhere else, so a slow or missing connection never slows the counter down. Basic and Professional add backups you can restore.
Questions people ask
Does SellyPOS work without internet?
Yes. Selling never needs a connection: every sale is saved on the computer's own disk before the receipt prints, so a dropped connection, a power cut or a crash does not lose it. You need internet once, to sign in with Google and set up your shop, and from time to time to check your licence and updates.
Where is my shop's data kept?
On your computer. Your sales, products, customers and stock never leave it. Selly Systems keeps only a small account record (who you are and which shop you registered) so we can help you recover access. See the privacy policy.
