Installing SellyPOS on Windows
Download the right edition, run the installer, get past the Windows publisher warning and finish setting up your shop for its first sale.
SellyPOS installs on the computer at your counter. It needs the internet once, to set your shop up; after that it sells with no connection at all.
Before you start
- A computer running Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit, with at least 4 GB of memory and 500 MB of free disk space. See the full system requirements and supported hardware.
- A Google account for the shop’s owner. Setup signs in with it, so Selly Systems can help you recover access if you ever lose it.
- An internet connection for setup.
Install
- Choose your edition on the download page. Start with Lite if you are trying SellyPOS out, or Professional for its 7-day free trial. Not sure? Use the edition finder.
- Run the installer you downloaded. If Windows shows Windows protected your PC and an unknown publisher, see the publisher warning.
- Follow the installer’s steps. Leave Experience SellyPOS ticked on the last page and choose Finish: SellyPOS opens.
- Sign in with Google when SellyPOS asks, as the shop’s owner.
- Choose your country. SellyPOS fills in your currency, number and date formats and time zone from it. You can change any of them later in Settings.
- Enter your business details, then finish setup. The Sales screen opens, ready for your first sale.

Questions people ask
Which computers does SellyPOS run on?
Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. At least a dual-core processor (such as an Intel Core i3), 4 GB of memory, 500 MB of free disk space and a 1366 × 768 screen; a quad-core processor, 8 GB of memory and an SSD are recommended. SellyPOS is a native Windows program, so it runs on the computer itself, not in a browser. Versions for macOS and Linux are planned. Full system requirements.
Does SellyPOS work without internet?
Yes. Selling never needs a connection: every sale is saved on the computer's own disk before the receipt prints, so a dropped connection, a power cut or a crash does not lose it. You need internet once, to sign in with Google and set up your shop, and from time to time to check your licence and updates.
