The steps that end every sale, in the order you meet them, from the amount on the screen to the last payment.
8 things it does
The amount to pay stays put while the customer hands over the money
The total on the payment screen is the total you take, unless you have changed something in the cart. If a change does move the total, the payment step asks you to confirm the new amount again. Any other change made in the background is shown in the same way, so the figure never shifts without your say. You take money only against a total you have seen and confirmed.

Choose how the customer pays from the methods your shop takes
Pick the one the customer is using, and the sale is settled by that method. The picker sits between the total and the amount chips, so a wrong choice is put right before anything is typed. You can also choose a method without the mouse.

Type the cash the customer hands over and see the change
The change due appears as you type the amount, and it updates with each figure you type. You see what to hand back before you give it. Change is given on cash only.

One press on a chip fills in the note the customer hands over
The first chip is the exact total. The others are the next round amounts above the total and any fixed amounts the shop has set up. Press a chip and its amount is taken as the money the customer hands over. Nothing has to be typed.

Take the cash with the number printed on its chip
Press that number, and the amount on the chip is taken as the money the customer hands over. The payment can be taken without the mouse, from start to finish.

The payment screen asks for the cheque number, bank and date
Each box can be set as required or optional, so your shop decides what must be filled in.

Scan a store credit voucher to pay toward a sale
Choose Store credit at the payment step, and the till asks only for the voucher. Whatever is still owed is taken by another method. Scanning the same voucher twice is refused, and so is a voucher scanned when the sale is already covered. Removing its line from the sale takes the voucher off again.
A scanned voucher pays what the sale owes, and the rest goes on another method.Professional only
Let one customer pay part in cash and part another way
Add a payment line for each way the customer pays, each with its own amount. After each line, the screen shows what is still to pay. You can remove a line before you confirm, and no record is written until then. The sale is confirmed only when no amount is left to pay, and it keeps one number throughout.
