Trying SellyPOS with a few products
FreeWhat SellyPOS does
Your till needs a receipt printer and a barcode scanner, and many shops add a screen that faces the customer. SellyPOS finds your printer for you and tests it before you save it. It can also show the bill to your customer, and print labels with a promotion price or a clothes size.
Every shop meets the same hardware at the counter: a receipt printer, a scanner and a customer who wants to see the bill. This page shows how SellyPOS handles each one, from the first plug-in to the last sale of the day.
You can set up a printer yourself. Plug it in with a USB cable or pair it over Bluetooth, and SellyPOS lists it, so you do not need to type an address. Print a test page before you save, and you will know it works before the first customer arrives.
Read the sections in order when you set up a new till, or jump to the one you need. The printer steps and the customer screen settings are both on the Hardware page.

Try a shorter word, or fewer words. You can also browse the sections below.
Plug in a USB printer or pair a Bluetooth one, and SellyPOS does the finding. You name the printer and test it before it prints a real sale.
A second screen faces the customer, so they can check each item and price before they pay. You choose how the bill looks and which screen it uses.
Test the scanner first, so you see what it sends before the first sale. Labels with the right barcode and price keep the shelf and the till in step.
A shelf label can show the regular price crossed out, the promotion price, the percentage off and the last day. Each label design also chooses whether it prints the full product name or only the main name.
A clothes label can print only its short size code, such as M or XL. Each size or colour has one short code of up to four characters, and the form fills it in for you.
A phone's IMEI numbers, serial number and warranty end dates can print on the receipt and on the A4 invoice. You choose which phone details print, and only those will show.
These are the settings to look up when a receipt does not come out the way you want, from the paper width to the number of copies.
If your customer screen is on the wrong monitor, or you want a small display on a post, these are the settings to check.
Once the printer prints the right receipt and the scanner reads the right code, the counter can get on with the queue. Set up one printer, sell a few test items, and see how it feels before a busy morning.
