Reports

Running a report from the Reports menu

Open the Reports menu, find the report you need, and export it as a spreadsheet, CSV file or PDF.

Applies to Basic, Professional · Updated 20 Oct 2026

Reports give you one figure about your shop, from sales, stock, customers, suppliers or financial records. They are in Basic and Professional. Each report runs over the records your shop already keeps, so you do not type the figures in.

Open a report

  1. Open the Reports menu. The reports are listed in one menu, grouped by what they cover.
  2. Choose the group that matches your question. The groups cover sales, stock, customers, suppliers and financial reports.
  3. Open the report you need. It runs over your shop’s own records.

Two reports are not there yet: the customer profitability report and the purchase order report. The stock count accuracy report stays on the Stock page.

See today’s takings

The daily sales summary shows what your shop took. Choose today, another day, or a range of days. The summary shows:

  • the number of sales and the items sold
  • the gross, the discounts, the returns, the net and the tax
  • the takings split by payment method, and the average sale

A day follows your business day. A sale rung up after midnight can still belong to the day you were trading.

The daily sales summary has a date choice only. It does not compare with an earlier period, and it does not open the sales behind a figure.

Save a report as a file

A report can be saved as a spreadsheet, as a CSV file or as a PDF. The file holds the whole report, not only the rows you can see on the screen. For example, the owner can save the stock report as a PDF for the accountant.

Only people given permission to export can do it. Each export is recorded before the file is written.

The daily sales summary cannot be exported. You cannot yet choose which columns go into the file.
