Enter the supplier's bill without counting stock twice
The bill often arrives days after the goods. You match it to the deliveries it covers, so the stock is not added again.
4 things it does
Enter a delivery, the supplier's bill and the cash handed over, once
In every edition
Can I enter a delivery, its bill and what I paid in one go? On one screen, the delivery, the supplier's bill and any amount paid now are saved together. A payment from the drawer records the cash going out in the same step.
Without it
A delivery comes to the back door with a bill. You write the goods in one book, the bill in another and the cash in a third, then match the three by hand at the end of the day.
With it
One screen and one save: the delivery, the supplier's bill and the amount you hand over now are saved together. Cash from the drawer is recorded in the same step.
Enter the goods the supplier brought, with the price on each line, then the supplier's bill for them. If you hand over money now, enter that amount as well. Press save once, and the delivery, the bill and the payment are kept together. Products that track serial numbers cannot be entered on this screen.
Scan the goods, type what each cost, and save the whole purchase in one step.

Enter a supplier's bill against goods already received, without adding stock twice
In every edition
Can I enter the supplier's bill for goods I already received? Enter the bill against the deliveries it covers. It never adds stock a second time. A price that differs from the delivery's goes to a price variance, and the product's cost is not restated.
Without it
Goods arrived days ago and are already on the shelf. The bill comes now, and typing it in as new goods could add the same stock a second time and throw your count out.
With it
The bill is entered against the deliveries it covers. Stock is not added again, and a price that differs goes to a difference line instead of changing your cost.
Choose the deliveries the bill covers, and their lines come across. You type only the price on the bill, where it differs from the delivery. Where the price differs, the difference is recorded on its own line, and the product's cost stays as it was. A bill covers deliveries from one location, and freight, discounts, input tax and foreign currency are not part of it.

See which deliveries are still waiting for their supplier bill
In every edition
How do I see which deliveries have no supplier bill yet? Deliveries with no bill yet are listed under Waiting for their bill. The goods received page shows how many are waiting.
Without it
A delivery comes in, but the supplier's bill arrives later, or not at all. Days pass, and you cannot tell which deliveries are still waiting for it.
With it
The goods received page lists the deliveries that still have no bill, under Waiting for their bill, and shows how many are waiting.
Every delivery you record appears on the goods received page. A delivery with no bill against it is marked Waiting for their bill, and you can open that group from its tile or its chip. Once its bill is entered, the delivery leaves the group. A delivery still waiting for its bill is not counted as money you owe that supplier.

See each supplier bill in one list, and what is late by age
In every edition
Can I see all the bills I have received and which are overdue? The bills list filters by supplier, status and date range. A payables ageing shows what the shop owes, grouped by how late each amount is.
Without it
Bills come in from many suppliers over a month. Without a list you cannot tell which are late or what you owe in total until a supplier calls about it.
With it
One list of your purchase bills, narrowed by supplier, status or date. Above it, an ageing shows what you owe, grouped by how late each amount is.
The bills list shows the supplier bills you have entered. You can narrow it by supplier, by status and by a date range. The payables ageing above it groups what you owe by how late each amount is. The day ranges are a setting you can change.
