In Basic and Professional, each customer group can have its own prices. This guide shows you how to set a group's price list, how to set a price for one group on one product, and how to explain a customer's price.

## Steps

Use these steps to set the prices on a customer group's price list.

1. **Open the price list for one customer group.** Each group has its own list, with one line for each product.
2. **Type a new price for a product.** The line shows the group's price, where that price comes from, and the minimum price beside it.
3. **Look at the bar at the bottom.** It says that one change is waiting.
4. **Press Save to keep the change, or Discard to drop it.** The bar holds both until you choose one.

If you leave the list while a change is waiting, the list asks you first.

## Set a price for one group on one product

A set price is a price for one customer group on one product. At the till, it replaces that group's percentage on the product's line. The minimum selling price limits both the set price and the percentage, so neither can go below it.

When a customer in that group buys the product, the cashier scans it. The group price shows on the line in place of the usual figure. The cashier takes no extra steps at the counter.

Other tills on the shop network do not receive group prices yet.

## See why a customer pays their price

The price list page has a dialog that states the rule the counter follows to choose a customer's price. Open it when a customer asks why their price is what it is. The rule is written out there, so you can read it to the customer in your own words.

## If something goes wrong

The price list refuses a price under the minimum selling price. Type a price that is at or above the minimum.
