A clothing shop has a problem many free programs never face. One shirt comes in many sizes and colours, and each size and colour is its own stock. A program that cannot hold those sizes leaves you counting by hand. If you search for a garment shop billing software free download, or cloth shop billing software, you need the same answers. ## What to check in a garment shop software free download Ask these of any free program before you put your stock into it. Write the answers down. - **One product, with its sizes and colours.** Can you enter a shirt once, then add each size and colour under it? Does each one have its own barcode and its own count of what is left? - **Exchanges and returns.** Can a customer bring back a shirt and take another size in the same sale? Do the returned goods go back on the shelf? - **Discounts.** Can you discount one piece, and also the whole bill? - **Size labels.** Can the program print the size on a shelf or price label, as a short code such as M or XL? - **Your product list.** Can you bring the list in from a spreadsheet? Typing every size of every shirt again by hand is a lot of work. - **Your records.** Can you back them up, restore them and export your sales and products? If the answer is no, a failed computer can take your records with it. - **Whether it stays free.** Does the free version stay free for ever, or does it stop after a trial? What does moving up cost, and does your data come with you? For example, a customer wants the same shirt in a larger size. The cashier must see what is left in each size. A discount above your role's limit goes for approval. Discount promotions, which apply by themselves at the counter to chosen products, are Professional only. Each attribute value has a label code of up to four characters. A design can print the variant's full name or only the main product's name. Size labels are not in Basic. - **Your product list from a spreadsheet (Basic and Professional).** Import products from a workbook or a CSV file, starting from a downloadable template. The template has a Garments sample sheet. Lite has no import. Basic and Professional also take a daily backup with a history, and export the sales list as Excel, CSV or PDF. - **Prices at season end (Basic and Professional).** Change selected prices by a percentage or an amount.
